It’s been quite a month. No need to rehash the collapse of Terra here, but if you’ve been out touching grass, Jacob Robinson had a great recap on his podcast. Now is the time to hunker down and build, and LexDAO is doing just that. If you’re interested in any of our projects, have ideas of your own, or just looking to connect with lawyers, stop by our discord and say hi!
What’s New in LexDAO
LexDAO Archive
LexDAO has started the process of combining Guild members’ personal resources into an accessible archive of legal resources on all things web3. Currently a side project of the study group, we aim to have a comprehensive resource guide for those working in or curious about the space. Technical details and what information should be included are still being discussed so reach out to 2spencer on Twitter or @StinkyPinky#8182 on Discord if you have any thoughts or materials to add.
Twitter Spaces
On Friday, May 28, LexDAO members @Jaredcohe and @bestape took part in The Sapien NationTwitter Spaces on Vitalik’s paper, Decentralized Society: Finding Web3’s Soul, along with CityDAO, Lobby3DAO, and others. Check out the full recording of the twitter spaces here!
InCred
InCred is our very own @Jaredcohe’s side project where he aims to set up a way for organizations to reward, retain, and recruit the best people using verified professional achievements. You can think of it as a verified resume. LexDAO has been granting CREDs to its members who produce valuable work for the DAO. You can view the CREDs awarded to LexDAo members here, including Founding Teams and Guild Operators.
LexDAOism
This month, LexDAOism featured an article by Elizabeth Shubov and Scott Stevenson J.D. “Five Guidelines for Maintaining Attorney-Client Privilege in the Metaverse” that walked through some important ground rules and guidelines for clients and attorneys to ensure that they preserve privilege when working with web3 clients.
If you want to add to the LexDAOism substack come say hi in the discord. Whether you’re a lawyer, law student, or just interested in the law, LexDAOism is a great platform to get your writing out. The best part about publishing with LexDAOism is the access you’ll have to Guild Member expertise and suggestions!!

Law Student/New Member Study Group
For members looking to earn their membership or simply learn additional skills, come join our study group every Friday at 4pm EST.
We’ll help each other learn basic coding skills (for law students or lawyers) and legal lingo for hard-core developers, as well as organize contributions to LexDAO projects where you can work to earn your membership. Coming up, there will be an intro to civil law perfect for all you common law lawyers.
The Legal Aid Clinic for ImpactDAOs is another recent study group project and is a great opportunity for attorneys and law students to get more involved in learning and contributing! Reach out to @bestape#3069 or join our study group for any questions about our clinic.
There is now a separate Discord channel for the study group! Check out our agendas for upcoming meetings and what we’re working on there.
